Fall Ride

Heading to the trail.

Sometimes it’s just nice to take in the scenery and go on a leisurely bike ride with friends. After a weekend work-related conference, some of us got together with our bikes and rode the Delaware & Raritan Canal Towpath. We passed by Washington Crossing, saw lots of ducks and geese and hawks, and admired the fall colors. We stopped at a coffee shop* in Lambertville before turning around and heading back. There was enough space for us to ride two-by-two and chat with each other, which was great.

After a rough work week, this was exactly what I needed to recharge and feel human again. Many, many thanks to LD for organizing the ride, and to my friends for being wonderful company.

*9 miles. I got a hot apple cider. I’m not coffeeneuring, but this is the closest I’ll get to it.
