As I had mentioned before, I bike to work about once a week. For the rest of the week, I bike to the Metro train station, ride the Metro, then walk to work. It’s nice to break up the commute by using different modes of transportation. I sometimes call it my commuting triathlon.
I had considered doing a commute similar to what is described here, using a folding bike, so that my commute would then become bike to the station, ride the Metro, bike to work. Of course, that would mean getting yet another bike, and I don’t have the storage space, even if the bike does fold up. For now, the bike-train-walk commute suits me fine. I’ve gotten into the groove.
